Carnifex kills it!
This band sounds a little different with every album, so they have variety for death metal/deathcore (which is very hard to come by) and it is always good.
Carnifex is back!!! (even though they were never really gone)
After a subpar 3rd realease (yeah lets face it, Hell Chose Me was pretty bad), Carnifex brought back their old sound for this one while adding a few new things here and there (but who doesnt love the origial sound???). This album is a must buy!! And if you go buy Close Your Eyes's new cd, you get a combo of Carnifex hate and revenge lyrics with Close Your Eyes's uplifting and forgiveness lyrics..you pretty much end up being content at a happy medium haha
TO THE LORDS OF DEATHCORE...WELCOME BACK!!!!
First off, I say welcome back because Carnifex sort of de-railed it a little bit with Hell Chose Me. Sure it was good but nothing compared to their first two releases. I didn,t know what to think when I discovered this new album. One one hand, I was uber excited because i've worshiped this band since 2008. They have always been my favorite deathcore band since. On the other hand I was a bit sceptical because of their last release. When they totally switched from a more traditional INSANLY heavy style of deathcore, to more of a technically fast and blackened-death approach, I was not completely satisfied. But when I first heard thin new amazing album, I was stunned into submission. CARNIFEX IS BACK!!! They completly brought back their old-school style while still incorperating their newly adopted technical speed. With this album, not only does Carnifex remain my favorite deathcore band, but are now possibly my favorite band of all time! Well done Carnifex, Well done.
