Customer Reviews

Careful - you might already own this song!

This is another great song from Chan Marshall (Cat Power). But buyer beware! If you bought the 2006 CD version (with the pink cover and boxing gloves) then you already own this song. It is the bonus, hidden track 13 on the CD. I didn't realize it and now I'm out the 99 cents. Oh, well. Easy come, easy go!

listen before hand

every so often, i get so excited to see a "new" song by one of my favortie artists, that i dont even listen to it before i buy it. this "new single" is included on The Greatest album, as a bonus track. i bought my copy when it was first released february of last year, so im not sure if "Up and Gone" is included on all of the subsequent pressings. make sure you listen first, before you make my mistake and waste money on something you already have!

Same as bonus track on "The Greatest"

Just a heads up. The album that I have had since day one features this as the hidden bonus track. There is no discernable difference between that version and this I-Tunes single (except a 5 second change in running time). The song is very pretty, with an accordion backup and Chan's smoky, echoing voice in the forefront. If you don't have it, get it.

Following the release of 1995's Dear Sir and 1996's Myra Lee — both recorded on the same day...
