iTunes Review

Rock 'n' roll has a habit of producing miracles from the midst of chaos - and the Verve's Urban Hymns is a grand example. Hailing from Lancashire, England (birthplace of dour resignation and a breakfast delicacy called 'black pudding'), the Verve - divided by feuds and hobbled by lawsuits - appeared to be on their last legs until differences were shelved one last time in 1996. Fortunately for all of us, Urban Hymns was the result. This is one of the few '90s albums that can carry the labels "classic" and "timeless" with utter confidence. Many bands adds orchestral strings to their work to affect an air of sophistication, but here the rock/classical cross-over is effortless, natural and at its finest on "Bittersweet Symphony." Rapturous.

The Verve is the most magical and insporational band you could ever possibly find. For me, music is about the lyrics and the emotions that come to you during the songs. I have never heard such a wonderful album that has meaning. My favorite song is Bittersweet Symphony, and it will be forever. For me, bittersweet symphony is more than just a song, its a guide. I listen to it when I am happy, sad, mad, excited or whenever. It helps me, and calms me. And i can not explain in words how the verve has helped me through the bad times. My other favorite songs are The Drugs don't work and lucky man. They both are amazing. The Drugs don't work was written about Richard Ashcroft's dad who died from brain trouble. My aunt died that way and knowing that richard ashcroft went through that too helps. The Verve is probably the best band ever and if this music doesn't warm your heart, you have something wrong with you. And the verve is real music, i don't think that rock and roll songs that are about girls and bars and clubs are real music. thank you for reading my opinon.... xoxo :) and buy this album, its the best album you could ever buy

oh and by the way, this reveiw was written by a 11 year old
