Very good single
This is a very solid entry into the Cruxshadows. The single itself is excellent. It seems like it has more of a rock dance beat to it, with a bit more of an edge. I like the feel of the song, the way the lyrics are written and the overall tone. Its fast paced without being frantic. Very easy to dance to. Even more so than Quicksilver or Immortal. Of their last 3 singles released, this is their best single. Theres not much to say about the radio edit. It is what it is. Just the radio edit.
Anthem is really well done. I like the depth of the song. Its slower, but I can still dance to it. One of their better B-sides, on par with Avalanche. The Dreamside Remix is VERY well done. I am really impressed and glad it's on this EP. Its definitely got an in your face, rock attitude to it.
Strange Skies is another well done track. Definitely a memorable track, with its refrain. Excellent lyrics as always. Again, its easy to dance to, which is important for an electronic band. Last mention, the cover art for the single is really well done too. Fits perfectly.
All told, I would heartily recommend this for any Cruxshadow fan. If you already like their stuff, you'll like this. It's similar to what they have done in recent years, yet pretty significantly different in some ways. If you are a fan of EBM or darkwave in general and don't know much about the Cruxshadows, go ahead and check the single out. You won't be disappointed.
