Album Review
Twin Sister's first EP, a four-song collection from 2008, found the band's engaging mishmash of ideas coming together to create enjoyable if not quite yet distinct results, a post-everything indie rock that happily skips from one approach to the next. "Dry Hump," with its minimal start, slow grind toward the end, and feeling of disconnected desire, lives up to the name well, Andrea Estella's refrain of "Any way you want to" disappearing into a conclusion of soft tones and slow grooves. In contrast, "Ginger" moves into a full-band arrangement from the start, keeping the sense of slightly mournful progression but just a touch more charged with energy, a stately, drum-heavy zone-out, vocals and low buzzing notes intertwined. The acoustic guitar of "Nectarine," matched with the initial male vocals of Eric Cardona, twists the feeling of the EP a bit more, a wistful sort of folk-rock that gets shot through with a summery pop shoegaze of sorts. "I Want a House" ends it on a slow groove, in a sort of gently tense hip-hop feeling translated to the band's rock approach, set against Estella's lovestruck sentiments.
Customer Reviews
One of the best musical recordings released in the past year.
It's hard to find anyone who isn't floored by this EP. When all four songs end up on your "Most Played" list, you can thank this review. Buy it. "Nectarine" is exquisite, and "I Want A House" grooves like no other song can. All four together are 20 min of music you'll keep listening to for a year straight.
Calming
I like how they were inventive without making it so obvious. If you are having a rough day and need to calm down, check this out.

Definitely a solid album from begging to end. Smooth and subtle. Great lyrics and delivery.
