How refreshing.
I recently discovered Roni Bryant on MySpace and listened to some of her music there. It wasn't long before I purchased "Versatility" from iTunes. This album is indeed versatile and so is Roni. In a cookie cutter world, Roni is truly a breath of fresh air. Lyrically she's brilliant and vocally she's an Angel. There's no theme nor contrived agenda here; there's just very genuine, sincere and unique songs from someone who really believes in what she sings. All of the songs on this album are very nicely done, but my absolute favorite is "Under Your Skin". It brings to mind the Southern California Valley Girl era and so many of the great girl bands that dominated the scene at the time. Roni just really rocks this super catchy tune. The mark of a great artist is the ability to truly make people feel your music, and I felt every one of these songs straight through to my soul. I'll be listening to "Versatility" for a very long time. It just really feels good.

I knew her from myspace, and finally decided to check out her music as she sounds really great.

I can't believe this music was on MySpace and then I decided to get some of her songs! I love them! Especially "I Can't Be Me". Totally recommend for new sound out there.
