80's ROCK VIBE
Version 1.2 is an absolute stunning album that is highly recommended for any Bon Jovi fan. Every track rocks and nicely arranged. Favorites include Never Gonna Let U Go, Crazy, Here for You, Another Lonely Day, and a ballad Fly Angel which is simple brilliant.
MADE ME MISS THE 80'S
I really liked the slow songs on this, (and the other) albums by Johnny Lima. He does really sound like Jon Bon Jovi. (ITS A GOOD THING...) He will surprize a lot of people. Give him a chance..I did, and I am happy!!!!
If you like old Bon Jovi...
I have been really impressed with everything I have heard from Johnny Lima. His voice sounds a lot like Jon Bon Jovi, and his songwriting is very reminiscent of Slippery When Wet. There is not a bad tune on this album. If you like well-recorded hair metal, you can't go wrong with anything by Johnny Lima. I am working my way through his entire 4-disc library (4 available on iTunes), and only have one album yet to buy and have not been disappointed yet. I do not know why this guy isn't a little more known, as this album is a lot better than many other bands in the same style.
And if you're looking for some good, straight forward hard rock (not hair metal), you can't go wrong checking out "Where the Water Rises" by Dead Coyote. Their debut album is available on iTunes, and it is one of the best albums I have picked up in the last year. Check it out.
