Great Christmas Album
This is the best of the Very Special Christmas albums. Although, the live one and the last one are pretty good too. It is a shame they stopped making these. They were for a good cause and got some great musical acts in on the deal. Blues Traveler's "Christmas" is an excellent song for those of us that have difficulty getting through the season (and I'm pretty sure everyone gets that way sometimes). Dave Matthews' song is equally as poignant. Natalie Merchant does a funky little tune that makes me happy everytime I hear it. And of course, "Oi to the World." Awesome stuff.
Really Good
This is an awesome Christmas album- and also an awesome album in itself. There is a little bit of everything from Rock to Punk to R&B to everything. The best part is they actually sound like new songs, not just the christmas song with added power chords to make it seem rockin even though it ends up sounding lame and you would only deal with listening to them on the radio during Christmas time, these songs you can listen to all year. I reccomend the Smashing Pumpkins Christams time and Dave Mathews Christmas Song
Overall, Quite Good
The Blues Traveler song, Christmas, is my absolute favorite christmas song, ever. Each time I listen to it, it brings tears to my eyes. I have a personal rule that I will not listen to it until the begining of December, though after I start, I can hardly stop. There are some other gems on here as well, including Sting, Dave Matthers, and Sheryl Crow. I could do without the song "Santa Baby,' though.
