I have to agree- where is the album? I need a whole night of this.in repeat.
I'm A "Jesus" Freak
Nika Danilova packs a powerful punch for a woman born and raised in Wisconsin (my home state). To watch her star rise is thrilling beyond words. With every new release she just gets better and better. This song continues her trajectory to stardom. Her voice is unlike anything in music currently. She is simply divine.
Hoping for something else
She's very talented. The avant garde approach to low-fi, envelope-pushing material on her previous projects was really something new, something challenging, and brave. I don't mean to be critical, but this new song stands out to me as a step back. Crisp radio-friendly production, mainstream pop influences, and more common compared to the experimental and risky approach of previous material. This go-round is not for me. But she is a very passionate artist and the same visceral lyrics/vox are apparent on this new release, can't deny that much.
