Customer Reviews

Tooele, Utah fan CAO

I've been fortunate enough to see the Brobecks live in concert 4 times now. These boys are INCREDIBLE, often outshining the "more polished" headlining acts. If you love the tunes here, make the trip to SLC, Utah or wherever you can find them playing live. They are absolutely the BEST (and you won't regret purchasing the CD either...).

19th Century Indie

I agree with the review that says The Brobecks' "Violent Things" sounds like 19th Century Indie rock... and I love it. This entire album has been pieced together beautifully, right down to the tiniest detail. Much love to Dallon and the boys. I'm excited to see what will happen next.

Unbelievable!

I absolutely love The Brobecks with every fiber of my being. Buy their CD. You will not regret it. Every new song of theirs that I hear is better than the last. Even with some old favorites on Violent Things, the new CD is definately worth the buy. Love At First Sight was love at first listen for me. All of their songs are so catchy and just plain awesome. Buy it.. or else... i'll do something... like.. make a sandwich, give it to you... then take it back!!! And you wouldn't want that to happen. Obviously.

Biography

Formed: Salt Lake City, UT

Genre: Alternative

(See also: Albuquerque's the Shins and Tarkio, Colin Meloy's Montana band before he decamped to Portland to form the Decemberists.) The Brobecks' blend of witty/snarky lyrics, clever pop hooks, and brash pop energy takes its cues from folks as disparate as XTC,...
