Great Album!
This is one of the best albums I've purchased in 2010. The playing places Mr. Brooks among the leading U.S. violinists and the collection of works is superb. This is one of those rare recordings where the performances, music, and production are uniformly high quality. Bravo, Mr. Brooks!

very VERY fine recording
This is a very, very fine album of works for violinist and recorded accompaniments --
Davis Brooks has long been a friend of contemporary composers, and this compilation shows his incredible technique, musical personality and recording and engineering skills in an excellent light. There is a wealth of virtuosity and emotion on this recording, with a wide variety of electronic styles and sounds represented -- I agree with the first reviewer -- one of my favorite recording purchases of 2010.
Violin with Electronics!
Davis Brooks goes where few have gone before in this collection of excellent pieces for violin with playback of electronic or computer-controlled sounds. Though there is great variety of style and mood among the pieces, the performances are all of consistently high quality. At his best in super-fast, high-powered passages, Brooks also carries more lyrical and tender moments with musicality and care. Most anyone who is interested in this genre of music will find several favorites on this disc.
