Amazing first cuts

This album is absolutely incredible! Considering their age, their professionalism is impeccable. The music is amazingly well written. You can feel the energy they have just by listening to their music. The drumming is kickass, the guitar is awesome, and the singing is just perfect. The lyrics are so well written and perfectly balance reality and emotion without being cliche or overly repetitive. My personal favorite off the album is On Your Way Home, though its nearly impossible to pick one of these songs over the others since they're all so well done. I absolutely can't wait to hear more from The Departure. I'm recommending it to everyone I know. The talent that these guys have is just unbelievable.
On a less serious note, the canadian accent of the singer doesn't shine through in his music. It makes me wonder if he actually does have a canadian accent at all. Also, the drummer is absolutely gorgeous. (Don't get me started on the singer--on a scale of 1-10, he's about a schfifty five). I think the best addition to this CD would be a button on your iPod that says "Teleport" that would make the band teleport to wherever you are. I would definitely pay a good deal of money for that function. You should definitely go see them live too. Its this amazing combination act of music and bad jokes (which I thoroughly enjoy). :]
