Album Review
Released in 2007, Voodoo is the fourth studio album from Canadian vocalist Térez Montcalm, but the first to be recorded in English. Produced by Michel Cusson, the follow-up to her self-titled previous release includes original compositions ("Parce Que y a Toi...," "Growing Stronger"), covers of classic jazz standards ("Be Anything," "I Want to Be Around"), and interpretations of pop hits (Elton John's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word," Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams"). ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Good Stuff
A new voice in jazz – a bio says her work to this point has been in Quebecois music. Unfortunately the sound clips are mostly the instrumental lead up’s to her vocals. Only a small portion of the sound clips actually have her voice (you should fix that iTunes!!), but her voice seemed so unique and interesting that I got the whole CD. Glad I did – she is a real talent with a fresh and uplifting vocal style. I like her voice and this album a lot (maybe deserves 5 stars).
