Of The Hook
The Chantays still got it, one of the best Surf Rock bands of all time!
Wow!!
If you're old enough to remember The Chantays and "Pipeline," then you'll soon realize these guys have still got it. One of the very best instrumental surf bands of the early/mid 60's, they're still going strong all these years later. I'm glad I came across this album.
Love it
The chantays r awesome. My grandpa's cousin was in the band. He's the lead guitarist Brian Carmen or watever his name is. I've never met him. They have great music and I liked it so much I learned almost all their songs.

Formed in Santa Ana in 1962, the Chantays were five high school buddies — Brian Carman (guitar, vocals), Bob Spickard (guitar, vocals), Bob Marshall (piano, keyboards), Warren Waters (bass), and Bob Welch (drums) — ranging in age from 13 to 17. Playing local dances, they specialized in surf music, and at least in the beginning were primarily an instrumental outfit.
