great album

John hiatt is one of the best guys out there. thank you for this outstanding album!

Pure Excellence

I don't think there's a John Hiatt album I don't love to death. I don't see much mention of this one on his fan boards by fans but this is probably in my top 3 favorite JH albums. Strong vocals, great lyrics, awesome stories and Immergluck can ROCK the mandolin. John is a pure entertainer in his live shows and, in my experience, with a little patience and being at the right spot at the right time, easy to meet in person after the show and is always gracious and appreciative to his fans.

Great Suff frpom a Great Singer/Songwriter

I really like John's music. I heard "Your Love Is My Rest" on Pandora and it just got to me. It has some haunting sounds & imagery. Sound like a guy on a train trying to get back to his love. The verse about being at Custer's Last Stand kinda stuck with me. This is a little bit of a softer album than some stuff of his I am familiar with, but it goes well with driving on the road.

Of course, it nearly took him that long to find his own style. Hiatt began his solo career in 1974, and over the next decade he ran through a number of different styles from rock & roll to new wave pop before he finally settled...
