Best Album You'll Buy
This is an amazing album and every person should buy it and listen to it. It seriouisly plays in my car, on my computer, and on my ipod all the time. It's very well written and the vocals nail it every time. JUST BUY IT! If you've heard Israel's older stuff, you will definitely love the new stuff!
Wow... Slow and quiet...
I really loved Isreal's older albums that had a strong acoustic sound and a solid confident vocal. This album is so slow and the vocals are barely above a whisper, not the same style at all... Myself, I don't like it. Not that every song has to be Poet's Corner, but this album is a real snoozer...
Very Dylan...
it's unfortunate that Israel Cannan hasn't reached the US yet. He's got a good sound that I think most people who love Bob Dylan will find themselves falling in love with Cannan's music. While true, it's not as "poppy" as Poets Corner, on it's own, it shows a willingness to experiment with other styles of music. It's still Cannan doing a great job on the music, even if it doesn't end up on the Disney Channel or the soundtrack of an animated feature film. It's a sign of maturity on Cannan's part, not so much a decline in his musicality. Great job, Israel Cannan!
