Still love this album
I wore out the cassette (dating myself...) of this album while driving cross-country in 1984 (there, I said it). So it's interesting to hear it now after all this time. Bill Schnee (LA producing/engineering maven) got all the 'yo' studio cats of the time for this one, and it's got that slick 80s pop sound to it, with a strong Christian emphasis in the words - I think "We Will Stand" was the big hit off the record. I loved it then, I love it now - this style of 80s pop aged so much more gracefully than the goofy synth-driven haircut bands.....

The Michael Omartian song. "Kathryn's Song" is about Kathryn Kuhlman, the evangelist / healing service minister of the 1960's and 1970's.
walls of glass, one of the best
This is one of Russ Taff's first solo efforts, and it is one of the strongest as far as passionate performance, good arrangements, and strong songs. Taff is one of the best singers in any genre when it comes to passion and power. This CD is worthy of him because the songs are so strong, and varied. The musicians are among the best and everything works together to create a strong, interesting, powerful CD. This is one of my all time favorites. It might be older, but it still rocks and it still makes me want to get down on my knees. One of my all time top tens.
