Customer Reviews

Give it a few listens--it's well worth it.

With the first singles off of the previous two releases ("I Want You So Hard" & "I Only Want You") being very similar in style, "Wannabe In L.A." comes off a little bit awkward. It starts with some odd indian tribe-like beats, but soon flows into a bluegrass type rockfest. This song is catchy. And I mean, CATCHY. The quick verses into chorus provide for easy memory of structure, and although it's tempo is a little slower than many EoDM tunes, this is a total dancing track. The added backing vocals--often layered on top of Mr. Hughes--are done by Josh Homme, which give the song a kid of lost "Lullabies to Paralyze" b-side feel. But the quality is too good for such a thing. Because in the end, Jesse "The Devil" Hughes has done it again in creating a quality, party-all-the-time rock n' roll song. And isn't that what the Eagles of Death Metal are all about?

Bam! ZEODM Does it Again!

Groovy, sexy and upbeat, "Wannabe in L.A." makes you want to shake your butt to the beat. I love this some and it shows that the Eagles of Death Metal deliver on their unique style and approach to great rock and roll!. I cannot wait for the full album.

The group's chief contributors include QOTSA main man Josh Homme (who goes by the alias of Carlo Von Sexron, and handles drums, rather than his usual guitar/vocal duties), and Jesse Hughes (vocals, guitar). Both hail from Palm Desert, California, and...
