DO NOT REWARD THESE PEOPLE
This is what Adam has to say about this song: "Back in 2005, when I was a struggling artist, I was hired as a studio singer to lend my vocals to tracks written by someone else. I was broke at the time and this was my chance to make a few bucks, so I jumped at the opportunity to record for my first time in a professional studio. The work I did back then in no way reflects the music I am currently in the studio working on. I'm thrilled to be working with some of today's hottest songwriters and producers and can't wait for people to hear what my music really sounds like." And here is what his father says: "The real irony on those pre-Idol recordings (the ones that arent the rough Citizen Vein demos… which I kind of like. Monte rocks!) is that a couple of the songs actually had potential but the songwriter/producers squelched Adam’s inputs on changes to the vocal phrasing and vocal arrangement, directing him to sing them straight and very restrained. They obviously intended to shop the songs not Adam. So they came out pretty schmaltzy adult contemporary and VERY un-Adam. I remember he was excited about getting paid for working in the studio but pretty frustrated about how those songs came out." His voice is gorgeous, of course, and we are all curious and/or want to support Adam. But this is not the album he is working on, and in no way embodies the type of artist he is. So, if you've gotta have it, find it online elsewhere. Do NOT support Hi Fi Recordings/Wilshire Records by purchasing this single. They've used an old photograph off the internet and slapped it on a demo to cash in on his fame. It's shameful opportunism and should not be rewarded. Adam will not see a penny of it.

Please be advised -- Adam Lambert did NOT write this song, nor is he profiting from this release. He did some demo work for this one studio, HiFi, kind of like work for hire, so that some other artist would sing this song later on. They're releasing this NOW because they want to bite off of Adam's new-found fame. Adam Lambert's real songs will be coming out in the fall. As for this track itself, Adam's gorgeous vocals shine through as per usual. However, the song itself is maybe 2 points above "No Boundaries", and we all know the quality lyrics of THAT song! The lyrics are nonsense and repetitive, but Adam sounds sweet and tender. This track is listenable, and may hold you over until Adam's real album drops online this fall, but know that if you purchase this track, no money goes to Adam. He didn't authorize this song, nor did 19E/RCA. Don't give them the satisfaction!
HIFi/Wilshire Cashing In - Despicable!
This is an OLD PRE-IDOL song recorded in 2005 as a DEMO. Wait for Adam's RCA release in the FALL which will be true to him!!! (Not the summer release this company is also planning to cash in on Adam's name!)
