Germans Greatest!
Finally, Xavier made his way to the states.I bet when more people would understand the lyrics they would love it.Some songs he sings in english, but I like him way better in original. Also I think he is Germans first Singer, who is popular with his christian songs. Also great are his group *Soehne Mannheims(Sons of Mannheim)* a great mix of different artist, from around the world, who live in Mannheim/Germany.
Inter-Faith
A great laid back tune from Germany's premier musical talent. "What we alone do not create . . ." contains his trademark soulful voice backed by strings, piano, and a gentle pulse pushing the song towards its climax. The "rap" version is a bit quirky in that the rap is not integrated into the rest of the song but stands alone as a tag (does anyone know who lays this rap down?). As per Naidoo's exploration of faith in his music, it is true, and few artists singing in any language is as skillful as he at interweaving his musings upon God into the universal themes of love, loss, life, and liberty without becoming didactic, condescending, or preachy. In any case, I would never say that his music is specifically "christian" but rather a blend of a number of traditions that look to reintegrate the spiritual without forming impenetrable boundaries.
