Incredibly true to the original!
Doing Frank Sinatra covers is very iffy. There's a high standard to live up to and--if you're like me--you want the covers to be Sinatra-esque and not where the singer/band makes it their own. Which is why I near-gagged on most of these covers offered. Maroon 5's cover of "The Way You Look Tonight" is beyond awesome! It's *very* true to the original, and I love how Adam Levine *sings* and doesn't do his usual Maroon 5 style. If there's only one Sinatra cover you download... make sure it's this one! And for the Maroon 5 fans who are like "Ewww. This is *so* not Maroon 5." ... go download the original version of "The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank. You'll appreciate Maroon 5's version even more after listening to the original, and will be amazed that Maroon 5 is capable of creating such an incredible cover.

This is a bouncy, happy song. Maroon 5 didn't ruin it by trying to deconstruct a classic. Smart choice.

I listened to Sinatra's version and then listened to this one and found this one more enjoyable to me. Sinatra is Sinatra and his singing is so identifiable with his personality and style; but on the track I have, his voice dominates the performance and the other production elements take a backseat. However, on Maroon 5 's take of the song, Adam Levine just sings it, following the original melody. I like his voice better. Along with the modern production elements, the result is much more enjoyable for me to listen to. Nice way of giving new life to a timeless tune.
