iTunes Review

South Carolina hard-rock/alt-metal band Crossfade go for the jugular on their third studio album, We All Bleed. “Dead Memories” opens with rapid-fire drumming and a chugging, locomotive bass as frontman Ed Sloan howls in agony over the muscled guitar riffs and the fretboard shredding of lead guitarist Les Hall. The style here is emotional-catharsis-as-songwriting, making for a much darker-sounding album than the band’s previous two full-length recordings. “Prove You Wrong” straddles subterranean worlds with its melancholic melodies, post goth-rock flirtations and some subtle dabbling in flourishes of electronically sequenced rhythms.

This IS rock!

Great album! Love the darker side of crossfade. Its been worth 5 years of waiting!

We All Bleed - Crossfade

every track on this album is solid, my favorite is lay me down, Crossfade stepped up in many areas on we all bleed, especially the lead guitar work..I really like the technical solos on tracks like open up your eyes and suffocate. We All Bleed has a lot of depth not seen in alot of todays music. This album definately showcases a darker heavier tone. this record is as honest as it gets, i believe the lyrics on this album are truly genuine. Go out and buy this record you will not be dissaponited. Support great rock music such as Crossfade 5/5 A++

Honestly, I'm disappointed.

First off, I've always been a huge Crossfade fan and I was strongly awaiting this release. And maybe it's my fault a little bit for getting myself so pumped about the album but I've really been left disappointed. The lyrics, melodies and even production leave a lot to be desired. There were some good tracks in We All Bleed but not enough to keep the album afloat for me. It felt as if they drew some inspiration from different bands such as A7X and RED but couldn't find the balance those bands have. The lyrics in Dear Cocaine and others are really simplistic and underwhelming which is painful because I know Crossfade is capable of much more. I'll still support this band and I'm glad they're back, but I don't like this album.
