shocked

i saw this band live @ the bottom of the hill in san francisco w/ fuga & la plebe. the whole show was amazing (including the other bands), since then i become yeah why not a groupie. kultur shock delivers so much energy, this kind of bands that put everything out on stage, also they are great musicians...may i use the word "virtuosos". its a funny pogo punk/balkan/funny/angry/heavy mix of music & characters. u must have this if u like heavy music. gringo bands can learn from this guys, kultur shock has a message too is not just the music but the lyrics express what many inmigrants have to say about united states & life in general. thanks`~!

Passion

Kultur Shock's style has only matured. This album is colorful proof of that. Definitely a must hear for anyone remotely interested in ecclectic, international, or gypsy music. And for those not interested, listen anyway, you'll be surprised.

Best album to date

I've been seeing the gypsies perform for over 7 years now and Kultur Shock needs to be experienced... not just heard and this album comes the closest so far to capturing the insane energy these guys put off on stage. All 4 of their albums are great, but We Came To Take Your Jobs Away stands head and shoulders above the others. A notable fact is that this is the first studio album with violinist Matty Noble who was the perfect addition to the band upon the departure of Amy Denio. What more fitting addition to a gypsy band than a violinist?
