Album Review

Though it's more of a run through their back-catalogue than a proper debut, We Rock Hard comes through on the title's claim, with little of the push-button, big-dumb-techno aspects of most big-beat acts. Focusing on electro, ragga, breakbeat and a closing jungle workout ("Warning") with chatting by MC Navigator, the Freestylers up the ante for Britain's old-school big-beat merchants.

Freestyle forever

Some of this album is hard to listen to, but the clear winners are Don't Stop and We Rock Hard. Don't Stop is aptly named...you won't be able to sit still for this one.

Easy Party

This is a instant classic party album. Armed with only this and 'Fatboy Slim: Live at Big Beat Boutique' I had people going nuts, break dancing even. Stay away from the cheezy pop- rap party mixes, this album rocks hard all the way through. Get a dozen people together, put it cd in, turn up the bass, and you'll have a party.

B-boy stance

B-Boy Stance was my track growing up!! Thank you i-tunes for letting me rediscover it!!!

All three were British b-boys back in the day, and were heavily involved in Britain's dance scene by the late '80s, both as DJs and producers, with Cantor recording as Cut'n'Paste, 2 Fat Buddhas, and Freska All Stars, among others, and Harvey as Blapps! Posse (author of the 1990 breakbeat classic "Don't...
