We Will Rise is a portrait of overcoming obstacles, accomplishing the near impossible and loving life. “Skip To The Floor” starts off the album on a playful note with a guitar backed rhythm which is complemented by a catchy chorus and a light beat. The disc transfers to “Make A Miracle Happen,” arguably the most emotionally charged recap of the rappers struggle to get back to rhyming after his last medical intervention. Doused with guest Sassee’s urging stance of “make a miracle happen” and a piano driven background, Skip delivers a genuine and forceful dictation of his struggles and triumph. The album continues onto its rousing title track “We Will Rise” that expands its focus as a tribute to his former teammate and friend, Brendan Hansen who is a two-time Olympian and holder of the world record in the 100 Meter Breast Stroke and 4x100 Medley Relay. The rapper switches onto lighter subject matter with “Never Knew” which talks about the perfect partner. Similarly, “All For You” is an upbeat ode to his favorite girl which is supported by a steady beat and genuine chorus discussing his dedication to the love of his life. Rukshan Thenuwara

his song "we will rise" is a great song. i love that he made this song as a tribute to brendan hansen. he is a great swimmer and obviously a great friend. the song talks about brendans hardships. i love it.
