Bob rocks.

I have always loved Bobby Weir- everything from his days with the Dead, Kingfish, solo, and currently with Ratdog. If you don't already own any of his solo stuff, this is a nice selection. This isn't Bob Weir doing Dead songs, it was actually the Dead doing Weir songs for many years (Playing in the Band, Cassidy, Mexicali). Of course these songs were Dead songs, but they were recorded in studio on Weir's solo project Ace. I wish they had more Ratdog on i-Tunes (hint, hint)...

Most of this Album is Missing...Where are his Dead Tunes?

Just fyi, if you bought the actual 27 song, 2-disk CD, here's the songs you'll find on it you won't find here. Go ahead, you decide which to buy...If you're really dying to have "Wrong Way Feelin'" but don't care about say, "Sugar Magnolia," this is the download for you Missing from Disk One: Lazy Lightnin' - Kingfish; Supplication - Kingfish; Feel Like A Stranger - Grateful Dead; Easy Answers - Rob Wasserman/Bob Weir/Neil Young; Wabash Cannonball - Dan Zanes & Bob Weir And none of disk two appears, which includes some of these you just might remember: Truckin' - Grateful Dead; Estimated Prophet - Grateful Dead; Hell In A Bucket - Grateful Dead; Me & Bobby McGee - Grateful Dead; New Minglewood Blues - Grateful Dead; Man Smart, Woman Smarter - Grateful Dead; Jack Straw - Grateful Dead; Sugar Magnolia - Grateful Dead; Throwing Stones - Grateful Dead; The Music Never Stopped - Grateful Dead

If you haven't heard "Ashes and Glass" just download it. Bobby rocked my socks off at Bonnaroo during this piece. Sweetness it was BOSS!!!!!!!

A founding member of the Grateful Dead, Bob Weir's musical legacy (separate from its cultural implications) will be of an utterly strange rhythm guitar player and songwriter who grew up in one of the most lasting outside bands of the 1960s.
