Purely amazing.

I've been a fan for a while now. They are the greatest band nowadays. When the music industry is blackened by rap, bubble gum pop, and hipster music, IFD shines a light of inspiration. Maybe the music industry isn't dead. All I can say is, buy this album.

Amazing!!!

This album is mind blowing, it's so good!! IFD is awesome!! I love it!

Ping!

I am a bit disappointed that this isn't a full LP, but I am glad it's finally here. Oddly, this album seems to maintain an average good-meh songs that an average LP from a band might have, about half and half. This is odd to me because generally ep's are tighter.

The first track is solid, but the first three songs feel... more mainstream than the first album did, despite the delicious nes sounds applied. "Proxima Centauri" serves as a buffer and then the last three songs really pick up the album. "Give It Up" channels an evolution of the energy and soul of "Hearts Up, Heads Down," to bring a more refined, mature but head-popping rock song to lift away from the intermission. "Not I" has a heavier mix of electronic textures complementing acoustic guitars, similar to "With You," and is a beautiful song. It's hard to hear the harmonies in this song, and not miss the female complement. It's a sweet song, and one of my favorites from this album, but seems to be missing that third part to the harmonies. "Just Decide" is a nice grooving note to end the ep on, and carries the bittersweet hope that many IFD songs seem to convey.

Overall, while I am a bit disappointed in this album (after having each song on Cool Is Just a Number be an instant favorite), it may be an undeserved criticism. I love the last three tracks, and the first three are solid and enjoyable. It is a strong sophomore release (a challenging thing for any band to do) that shows maturity and growth, but retains the energy and soul of their earlier work. I definitely recommend purchasing this album.
