A producer and DJ from Boston, Statik Selektah has been putting in work for many years now, building a well-earned reputation as one of hip-hop's go-to guys when it comes to ferocious, sample-based, East Coast beats. Action Bronson reps for Queens and has been slowly bubbling up over the last few years, appearing on Wu-Tang's Legendary Weapons and dropping the impressive digi-album Dr. Lector, as well as the mixtape Bon Appetit . . . Bitch! and The Program EP. With a speedy flow, layered lyrics, and vivid storytelling, his rhyme style evokes thoughts of Ghostface and Kool G Rap, which fits perfectly with Statik's neck-breaking, New York–centric beatwork. Well Done bangs like an AR-15 from start to finish, with limited guest spots and great chemistry between producer and emcee. There's really not a wack song on here, but standouts include "Cocoa Butter," "Cirque Du Soleil," "Keep Off the Grass," and "Terror Death Camp."

Action beats it up!

Action Bronson is pure hip-hop. A straight-up MC, no gimmicks, just spittin' from start to finish. He never disappoints. Add that to some decent production from Statik that actually fits with Action's flow and you have one of the better crafted hip-hop albums this year. Finally, he might sound like Ghostface the first listen, but after that he is a distinct voice all unto himself.

Heard some of these tracks at the showoff bbq during the summer. statik once again brings it with the beats. action bronson kills it surprisingly. I've slept on him but won't make that mistake again. He sounds just like ghostface too....
