Sweet!

That song rocks! It has strong guitar riffs and is still melodic! Pete Loeffler's singing is once again amazing. If the rest of Chevelle's new Album "Vena Sera" is as solid as this than we really have something to look forward to! By the way, "Vena Sera" is going to be released on April 3. The full track listing for album is as follows: "Antisaint" "Brainiac" "Saferwaters" "Well Enough Alone" "Straight Jacket Fashion" "The Fad" "Humanoid" "Paint The Seconds" "Midnight To Midnight" "I Get It" "Saturdays"

Very Good Song

This song represents Chevelle as a whole. It shows their progress and development as a band witch is constant. Although some may say it is "softer" I perfer to think that is simply the band changing directions in a good way. If you want to see bands that have "changed" their direction, but have actually sold out.. Saliva..Avenged Sevenfold....Lostprophets..etc.. Pete has even said in an interview that Vena Sera will be more like Point #1. He said they are trying to make it harder and heavier while being more melodic. The guitars are amazing, powerful and prone to air guitaring. The bass keeps a good pace while thudding faithfully along. At last the drums are some of the best drum work that Joe has done. Also the thing that sets Chevelle apart from other altern-metal bands of today is the combination of melody, tenacity, heavieness and depth. Chevelle has much more depth than most of the bands today. The lyrics are thought provoking and deep and well as meaningful. Pete has one of the best voices in hard rock, going from harsh screaming or growling to smooth, melodic singing. Final Notes: Take time to listen to this song, it will grow on you. Even if it is'nt as "hard" it is still full of energy and just gets you pumped up. Don't pass judgement and buy the song, you won't regret it. If you are concerned about Chevelle losing their edge, go to Youtube.com and search "chevelle - humanoid" it is their other song and it is a lot harder and more progressive. Their album will be great so don't be worried! April 3rd! DRUMS- 9/10 BASS- 8/10 GUITARS- 9.1/10 VOCALS/LYRICS- 10/10 ENERGY/VIBE- 10/10 OVERAL- 9.22/10

You're not well without it

This song shows a different step for the band's future, and it's definitely for the better. Their albums continue to get better then the last one, and I'm hoping that pattern continues... Also, the whole progression of the song is very original... This song's not as good as The Clincher or Bend The Bracket, but it's still amazing - I really give it a 4 and a half... But I round up for Chevelle... :)

Biography

Formed: 1995 in Chicago, IL

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Inspired by the lurching riffs of Helmet and the soft/loud vocal dynamics of Tool, the Chicago-based trio Chevelle formed in 1995 with an aggressive, heavy sound. Comprised of brothers Sam (drums), Pete (vocals, guitar), and Joe Loeffler (bass), the band began playing parties and outdoor events, which quickly led to bookings at Chicago clubs when youngest member Joe was just 14 years old. In 1999, Chevelle released their Steve Albini-produced debut album, Point #1, on Squint Entertainment. Three...
