dissapointed :/

Ok so maybe "if these streets could talk" was toooo good for a first album because this second album is not as good. I was very dissapointed. i had gone to their concert a ways back and was talking to dan (guitarist/vocals) and he said that they were working on a new album and i have been stoked since then for it because i thought it could only be better than the first. but i was mistaken. some songs are good. "Body Language and Bad Habits" is a keeper (probably because its closer to their old sound) and "in your silence" of course! Most of the other stuff though just sounds too poppy and unoriginal. just sounds like any other pop emo band. An amazing album is one that sets it apart from the rest and has a unique sound that you can pick out of the bunch. this is far from that. And why is "your life and mine" the top buy? its the worst song on the album! sounds like some old good charlotte or something. I love these guys but this album is just not workin for me. maybe on their next they'll be back with it! so advice: if you have money to spend on an album, spend your money on the first JS album before this one.

for skeptics:

I don't understand everyone's complaints that Just Surrender has diverged from their first album. Yes they have a different sound, but not a different style. This album has showed that they can write the melodic pop rock sounds that have been hitting the mainstream lately. I'm sorry that this band isn't one to create indifferent albums with mundane and repetitive tracks. Honestly, I enjoy the previous album, but I give them the credit that is due with this album.

i love just surrender

I saw them perform years ago in poughkeepsie, ny where they are from and i honestly fell in love with this band. I prefer their sound in If These Streets Could Talk, but this new album is a different sound for them and is still good
