Western Underground

Chris Ledoux was an incredible artist. This album puts the "Western" back in "Country/Western."

I could listen to all of these songs over and over, but if I had to choose, I would have to say that "The Last Drive-In" is my personal favorite. "County Fair" and "This Cowboy's Hat" are probably the most recognizable songs on this collection, but as mentioned earlier, they are all great.

Western Underground

This is the album that introduced me to Chris Ledoux, and contains my personal favorite song of his, Riding for a Fall. I was able to see Chris four times in concert before he passed away, and I have collected most of his albums. He remains one my favorite singers (and I mostly listen to metal) because he always remained true to who he was, and when he sang about the west and the cowboy life, you know he had lived it unlike a lot of the garbage coming out of Nashville these days. God bless Chris LeDoux.
