Alex Band is back!!
With this amazing solo effort it's clear Alex Band is back. Every song is beautifully crafted and you can feel every emotion. This album is a must have for any fan of The Calling and Alex Band. The first song "We've All Been There" draws you in and every song keeps you there. This is one of those rare albums where you will not be able to skip any songs because it is a musical masterpiece. Congrats Alex Band on a winning album!!
Amazing artist, amazing voice, powerful, catchy songs and more...
I've never seen an album with so many great songs in it!!! There are not only 2 or 3 great ones, but basically the whole album has great and catchy songs! If you are searching for powerful and catchy songs, deep and strong voice, powerful meanings, you are in the right way! His voice speaks for itself in each song, he has a passion to sing that is unbelievable!!! And the most amazing is that he's even better live!
"Tonight", "Only One" and "Will Not Back Down" are some examples of catchy songs!
"Euphoria" is a powerful song with a deep voice behind it...
"Without You", "We've All Been There" and "Forever Yours" are up-tempo songs, really sparking!
"What Is Love", "Please" and "Love" has really powerful and big meanings...
It makes you re-think about several things in life... Love, God, Hope, Religion... OMG, this album is the best release of the year! Let's see if any of these songs will be listed as the song of this decade, like it happened to "Wherever You Will Go", the hit song from Alex's old times in The Calling.
Certainly an album that it worths the money, I can already see great singles getting out of it! ;)
Welcome Back Mr. Band!
After releasing nothing for what seemed like forever (except the Santana collaboration), the former lead singer of The Calling, Alex Band, has finally released his solo debut, We've All Been There. Generally speaking, everything I grew to love about Alex's emotive and captivating voice is emphasized consistently throughout the album's 15 tracks.
Thematically, the lyrics of these songs cover topics such as love, religion, and confusion, in a simple yet effective manner. The first single "Tonight" has new Top 40 hit written all over it, while "Forever Yours" wouldn't sound out of place as a song for a newlywed couple's first dance. The quality of this album is consistent throughout its over 50 minute running time, although my personal favorite is "What is Love."
Do yourself a favor and download this album today, it's an absolute steal at $7.99, especially when you consider the extras that come with it like the bonus track "Chosen One." This is, without a doubt, my favorite pop album of 2010 so far.
