Something new

Moe. Is back with another group of songs they have been building up for the past couple of years. As always they manage to blend a little southern charm in to their sometimes quirky jam rock. Twists and turns abound in songs like downward facing dog and paper dragon. While haze and smoke are a couple of straight up solid tunes. They provide something new and different with the bones of Lazarus, refreshing and different in the same way shoot first was on wormwood. Good to see a band consistently exploring new ideas and growing. This is a refreshing album, hope you enjoy.

Amazazing

Downward facing dog is awesome and I'll see you march 3rd !!

meh

Not a great moe. album. I've really enjoyed every album from moe. and have been seeing them since Tin Cans and Car Tires came out. There's just not enough material in the ten songs to look past the the tunes that are not so solid. The Bones Of Lazarus , Haze and Paper Dragon are really good. I'm also not the biggest fan of Al's singing and he leads on 4 of the 10 songs, although Downward Facing Dog is one of his good ones. Chromatic Nightmare should be a bonus track on the end - I don't think anyone wants to hear that tune every time they listen to the album. The acoustic treatments on this Deluxe version are a cool idea but just don't work on the songs I like from the album.

Founded in 1990 by bassist/vocalist Rob Derhak, guitarist/vocalist Chuck Garvey, and original drummer Ray Schwartz, the band toured the university's party circuit under...
