Karmella's Got Game
I've seen them live about 30 times and they impress me every time... not to mention Katie throwing down in the studio. If you haven't heard any of their stuff definitely give it a shot... you won't be sorry!
The begining of something amazing
This album to me is a teaser to what was to come. If you have never bought a Karmella's Game CD buy "The Art Of Distraction". If you own all of KG's other work and need more this album will fill the void for you. Much more guitar driven then their other work, this CD shows a band finding their way. They definitely have found it. "Coming Going Leaving" stands up with their current work which is high praise. "Knocked Flat In The First Round" is the most punk rock I have ever heard them sound almost Blink 182-ish. The last 3 tracks are precursors to what they will perfect on "TAOD". You can hear the begining of something amazing. "What He Doesn't Know Won't Hurt Him" is a good EP it just fails in comparison to the bands more recent work.
Over and over!
These kids will punch you in the face with smart, engaging, synthy punk Inspired rock. This EP has been in constant rotation in my deck for about as long as it's been released. I'll listen to it over and over all day, curse myself at night when I'm laying in bed trying to get the songs to let me sleep---and then go right on listening again the next day. That's how good this album is. The first four songs will have your ears ringing with a speedy, upbeat tempo, and the last one let's you catch your breath a little before you play the whole album over again. It is a steal at this price and if you EVER get to see them live, cancel all other plans and go. Their energy will blow you away.
