possibly her best song

I've been a Jonatha fan since the Story. I've seen her 4 times and met her twice. She's an amazing artist. This song is a bit of a departure from the way she typically produces her music. But the vocal performance/arrangement is what really stands out here. Killer song. Killer.

easy there killer

everyone's a critic -- take it easy there technogiggle -- for me, the smoothness of the mix works great under the 2 vocal lines, one hitting in a narrow range and the other soaring and diving.

Where are the musicians?...

Decent song, terribly banal arrangement... what up with the drum machine? Pales in comparison to the artistry of ten-cent or plumb.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Jonatha Brooke began issuing albums that merged folk and pop during the early 1990s, first as a member of a female duo named the Story and later as a solo artist. Brooke formed the Story (originally called "Jonatha & Jennifer" during the duo's early years) along with another vocalist, Jennifer Kimball, who attended Massachusetts' Amherst College with Brooke in the early '80s.
