iTunes Review
Following the phenomenal success of Definitely Maybe, the expectations surrounding Oasis’ sophomore release couldn’t have been higher. But in a turn that legitimized their boastful nature, Oasis transcended the pressure and delivered a second album that outdid its first on nearly every level. Produced by Owen Morris (who is one of the two men pictured on the cover photograph), (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? displays more clarity and focus than Definitely Maybe, as evidenced by the careening onslaught of the opening song, “Hello.” Furthermore, the band is reinvigorated by the addition of new drummer Alan White, whose sense of swing propels the music in new a way. Finally, Morning Glory boasts a more dynamic batch of songs than the band’s debut. Piano and strings are woven into “Champagne Supernova,” “Cast No Shadow,” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” three songs that display Noel’s knack for arranging a soaring ballad, and Oasis plays with renewed venom on “Morning Glory” and “Roll With It.” By exceeding the public’s highest expectations Oasis proved their mettle as the biggest band in the world, and with Morning Glory they passed a test they would never have to take again.

One of the greatest albums of all time
by IndianaJones45There are many great albums out there, from The Beatles's Revolver, to Radiohead's OK Computer, and then there is Oasis with (What's the Story) Morning Glory? This album is considered their best, and its no joke. It's also my favorite Oasis album.
Track by Track Review:
1. Hello (9.5/10) - The first sounds of this amazing album are the slowy fading in guitar chords of Wonderwall, but then erupts into a fun introduction to the masterpiece that is this album. If you give a song such a simple title as Hello, and make it a hit, thats just pure awesome.
2. Roll With It (9/10)- A great fast paced song which tells the listener to get on with their life even during the bad times. My favorite part is when Noel does the echoing backing vocals.
3. Wonderwall (10/10) - Alright, so who HASN'T heard this song before? This is Oasis most popular and recognizable song. It truley is amazing and even if you dont like Oasis, i think you should have this song just because you know it so well.
4. Don't Look Back In Anger (10/10) - In this song we are introduced to Noel singing the lead vocals for the first time, and he delivers. This song is just pure, PURE amazing. The message of the song can be sad, but its an anthem. The piano is amazing, the lyrics are epic, and overall its just a wonderful peice of art.
5. Hey Now! (7/10) - It's a good song yes, but in opinion its one of the weakest. The song is too long for what it is (im a sucker for long songs by the way), and it really doesnt bring alot of charisma like the other tracks on this album, but nonetheless its still a great song.
6. Swamp Song Pt. 1 - This doesnt get a rating just because its an interlude, but the guitar is pretty sweet. The full version of this song is on The Masterplan album.
7. Some Might Say (8.5/10) - Oasis's first single from this album , and one of my favorites. The message of the song is no matter what other people might say, you know what is right or wrong. It's sure to be a favorite of many on here.
8. Cast No Shadow (10/10) - Another favorite of mine. Just like DLBIA, the lyrics tell a sad tale. But, this song is just so amazing it its simple lyrics and story.
9. She's Electric (6/10) - Yep, the WEAKEST on this album. It's a bit too bouncy for my taste, but its not the worst Oasis song I've ever heard. Some like it, some hate it, im only of the "Ehh, its there and good, but its not a fav of mine" The only skip-worthy track on here if there was one.
10. Morning Glory (10/10) - A great energetic song. Despite only having one verse thats repeated throughout the whole song, by the 2nd chorus you will be singing "WHAT'S THE STORY MORNING GLORY????!!!" i guarntee it ;D
11. Swamp Song Pt. 2 - Again no rating, but it does its job as an interlude
12. Champagne Supernova (10000000000000/10) - This song should get no rating, because its obvious how AMAZING it is. It's probably the saddest song on the album, but its sure BRILLANCE. Everyone should have this song, its just beautiful.
Overall - (10/10) A MUST BUY!!!!!
