Album Review

While he may be slower and less silly than Ray Romano, more cynical and beat down than Bill Cosby, and less redneck than Jeff Foxworthy, comedian Henry Cho still falls somewhere in between the above, making him the rare family-friendly comedian coming up in a time of indie mania, Mitch Hedberg-influenced character comics, and blue-collar bumpkins. While Cho's reflections on his Tennessee upbringing might endear him to the Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy crowd, he's not nearly as obsessed with Southern living. Of course, he's a Korean-American raised in Tennessee, so he's got a completely different angle and the material that doesn't concentrate on this unique situation focuses on everyday, identifiable family life where kids say the darnedest things, the wife just won't let you finish an episode of SportsCenter, and the women of the family speak a strange language ("We're going shopping, but we're not going shopping, shopping"). His father's mispronunciation of "quiche" as "quickie" to a waitress is the dirtiest joke on here, since Cho's easygoing wit and restrained delivery works just fine without going to the gutter. Being so innocent, approachable, and everyman, it should be no big surprise that ABC television offered him a sitcom deal right before this album's release. They're probably betting he's the next Romano, and there's plenty of evidence on What's That Clickin' Noise they're right.

THIS GUY IS FUNNY!!!

I saw him on comedy central, and I couldn't believe I was laughing as much as I was.

funny

i don't know what those idiots are talking about. it is very funny, very good jokes

This is some good stuff

I find it interesting that people on these reviews post opinion that is unfounded and ignorant in nature. Henry Cho has been doing his brand of comedy since the very early 90's predating many of the southern comedians he is being compared to. Very witty and catchy humor. I recomend it fully.
