Spectacular First Album from London Fave

A beautiful translation of the raucous live shows that earned the Noisettes a faithful following, 'What's the Time, Mr. Wolf?' remains energetic, skillful, and crisp throughout. Shingai Shoniwa gives a stellar studio performance, thrusting forth into radioland with an enigmaticly sensual voice that demands attention. The Noisettes are not, however, a vocalist and friends-- guitarist, Dan Smith and drummer, Jamie Morrison establish themselves as equally capable of delivering, resulting in a first LP which is both original and triumphant.

OK....I am always looking for something good! And this record is fantastic! In the drudgery of looking for new stuff and new artists who are actually being creative....This is a breath of fresh air! Melodies, rythem and vocals are incredible. Listening to this record is like a surprise around every corner.

Playing ragged but energetic garage-influenced indie rock with the ferocity of punk but with a soulful, bluesy edge, the Noisettes were founded by guitarist Dan Smith and singer/bassist Shingai Shoniwa, who previously worked together in the band Sonarfly.
