Stellar!

Immediately useable peak (read late) hour floor-fillers, Airplane Electronique, Everybody to the Sun and Hypnoslave re-define Techno for me which was unintersting forr many years. Josh's use of panning, sweeping, nouveau schwap-blick-phlopop FX over swing-laden analog drum grooves with superior complimenting dynamic perscussion grooves surprise the listener as these tracks certainly take the listener on a journey to some sci-fi planetary aural soundscape in a galaxy far, far away. Complicated yet direct, speakers are filled to the hertz with a full spectrum of dizzy-ing, swirling woosh and woble first experienced during the burgeoning Prog House daze of 93-96 before cheesy Trance drove all us purists back underground. The production quality is astonishing to my 20-yr veteran DJ ears, Josh spent a ton of time editing in post and the result is remarkable - kind of like experiencing House or Techno for the first time, an experience which sadly has been missing for a decade until production and software caught up with itself. Josh and I used to DJ quite a bit together in the early 90's, his work then was good but far less acomplished for my tastes, less the two massive tunes he released that got him to where he is today, but this LP moves him even further up the ladder, if there are even any rungs left in it. I do miss the dreads though. It's infectously deep, brash, shocking and funky, electronic yet groovy, with structure than surprises and even educates. I thought that this album was awesome, it gives you a real feel for the dance floor. I think that it's one of the best album I've bought on iTunes. It's great!
