Wonderful
This latest release from PFOR is amazing. Lead singer Michael Farren said they wrote 50 songs for this release, narrowing it down to 11. What they've ended up with is a solid, enduring set of songs from beginning to end. ALIVE is a lively, uptempo song celebrating life in Christ. STRONG is a driving anthem of assurance that our strength comes from God. COME AS YOU ARE is a passionate invitation for anyone to come as they are with "all your broken pieces, all your shameful scars". JESUS DIED MY SOUL TO SAVE is a powerful modern-day hymn that includes dobro and a folky feel. WONDERFUL is a soaring song of praise "Beauty beyond measure, heaven's greatest treasure - Jesus you are wonderful". Nearly 10 years after their song LET IT RAIN first appeared on Michael W. Smith's Worship album, producer Ed Cash convinced PFOR to finally record their own version of the song and I'm glad they did - powerful. The final track A WORSHIPPER'S PRAYER is a raw and beautiful, one-on-one prayer-song to God. Every track on this project is fabulous. In addition to the incredible music, this band has such integrity and a true heart of worship. After spending a little time visiting with Michael and his wife, Alisa, I love PFOR even more than before. I highly recommend this album!
Walk out song!
I am big on finding good walk-out songs for softball. I am a senior at Mississippi College and this song is my walk out song this year. No matter how I play I want to give glory to God in all I do. So when I get to walk to the plate and hear this song, not only does it get me pumped up, it reminds me of why I play and who gave me the ability. And it is just a really good song! :)
Best Yet
It's fresh! It's authentic! Once again Pocket puts out a project that is God inspired. With a mix of Farren's ability to write from the heart and the God given talent of the rest of the band you will not find a better worship band. You need to book them today. They will turn your church or conference upside down. PFOR understands that the atmosphere of worship must be created for God to move into the room.
