Great Album..On par with Epica, To-Mera and other major players.
I was really surprised how good this album is. It's well produced and knocks your socks off with the musicianship and execution. My favorites are Ecstasy, Endless Road, and Were Here Now. The other songs are good too and quality is kept up through the album. Were Here Now is a gem for me..the drums just blow you away. Try that one first. Ebony Ark is distinctive enough to say they are not like anyone. They are very inventive too. They are backing To-Mera in Spain and they definitely can play and be as innovative as the better known bands.
Superb Talent
This album was recommended under another band's purchase page. I decided to give it a listen and fell in love the moment I clicked on "Sincerely." "Sincerely" has a hypnotic sound that contrasts with the power of "Ecstasy" (which puts you in the state of the title), then mixes in the chilling beauty of "Out in the Cold." The vocal talent is amazing, unique for each song. I've listened to many bands in this genre, this one personally reminding me of Epica, Lacuna Coil, and Midnattsol. I recommend the songs "Sincerely", "Ecstasy," "Out in the Cold" and "Endless Road."
