Fresh and Familiar, Ultra Catchy, Surprising Depth
Found these guys on Myspace a few months back. I was totally blown away at the polish they put on their tunes and their creative and catchy songwriting ability. Whoa Whoa has been playing on my computer since I first came across it. Not tying themselves to genre specific mainstays, they blur the line between music like the The Fray and Fall Out Boy with an Indie/Electronic twist. Their depth is also prevalent in the diversity of the album they put together. They are exceptional at finding that melodic hook in their songs, ensuring that they stay in your head for days. Everything from slightly Pop/Punk sing alongs to slow and brooding melodic ballads. Unreal for an as to yet "undiscovered" band. I wish this band the utmost success, and I plan on watching their careers blossom from here.
when u got it, u got it and they got it!
On top of two the band members being great softball players, they also make great music. If u like there cd you should see them live...they do excellent covers, in which they put a little twist on each one and there orginals are amazing as well. Kirklands got it, so buy there cd and go see them live, you will have a great time!
this is how I get down
Kirkland has come so far to produce an excellent well-rounded album that I would recommend to anyone! A great set to be rockin' out to while driving or getting ready to go out. I got to see them at Angels & Kings (Pete Wentz's bar) in Chi-town....AMAZING. If these guys are performing near you...GO SEE THEM, you won't regret it.
