Intriguing, compelling, hypnotic
Feel kinda dumb that I do not know who this is, but who cares? Give this album a listen. My special favorites are "Show Me," Ordinary Day," "One Day," "Ghostline," and "You Slip Away." I think the songwriting is real strong and mesmerizes you to stay to hear it through. Musically, it's very hypnotic and compelling. I just had to listen! Great album cover as well.
Happy to be Snowbound in *this* Blizzard!
I am wowed and delighted!!! I happened to check this out because of the band's name, remembering all too well where I was during the Blizzard of '78 (snowbound in Central Massachusetts). But *you* will enjoy this album even if you weren't yet born then! Masterfully done, nicely sequenced, a really good listen. My new favorite record.
Wow!
This is an excellent disc, in the vein of Starsailor, or some Killers stuff, or Nada Surf. This CD certainly stands on its own though. However if you like those bands, you will enjoy this. Ordinary Day is AWESOME. I actually found this band entirely by accident. I was snowbound one day this winter, and was searching Google for information about the *Actual* Blizzard of 78. Because I'm a geek. I came across their website and it was one of the better accidental discoveries I've made, I have to say. These guys rock.
