Quiet songs that grow on you, like Wilco without the electronics
This is a really good album -- neat, thoughtful songs that grow on you. It's quiet on the surface but with something strong going on below, kind of like Wilco but without the eletronic/noise experimentation.
Good!
I only listened to the album once, but at first listen it sounded a lot like Elliott Smith, who is one of my favorite artists...that very soft music, that you can listen to before bed to relax, or during dinner for a bit of soft music while you eat!
More than I expected
This album offered more than I expected. I gave it a few good listens and then was hooked. Subtle and soft on the surface, and somewhat melancholy in the lyrics. The guitar hooks stay with me, and the powerful lyrics too. Try this album...I don't think you will regret it.
