4.5 Stars - Excellent Debut
You can call this post rock...really, I don't know what you could call this...it kind of uses post-rock as a starting point, but ventures into heavier/proggier/electronic territory very often. And the vocals are a lovely touch when they are used. Fans of Explosions in the Sky, Battles, Mogwai will love this! Prog-rock fans will as well. The material on here is quite varied though, compared to their "peers", yet everything feels very cohesive and focused.

My taste in music has changed dramatically in the past year. I've gone from like punk and hardcore to this wide array of folk/experimental/ambient/indie. I've been putting Jenny Lewis, Bright Eyes, Death Cab, Snowden, Animal Collective, Explosions in the Sky, and Band of Horses on almost every playlist. I found these guys on Last Fm a while back, and have been waiting for a more full length album... I've been dying for something new, that kind of fits with everything else. I don't know I would describe the music as pretty close to Explosions in The Sky, but the vocals give it a more practical everyday feel. It's definitely worth putting in the collection. It's different, and it stands out!
