White Lies for Dark Times
This record stirs me! For the first time in quite a while I can't just pick a couple of tunes from an album as the goods. This one is amazing music through and through. Love this album.
White lies for Dark Times, Festivals for the rest.
Ben Harper has been recording now for 15 years, and you can really tell it with this one. I fell in love with Ben Harper after listening to Fight For Your Mind straight through like 6 times in a row. I don't know how he does, but this artist continues to put out heavy, relevant tunes, that only further show the depth, passion and spirituality in the well of Harper's heart. If you like his darker, heart-wrenching stuff, check out "Lay there and Hate me". If your looking for a smoky barn-burner, try "Why Must You Always Dress in Black." No matter what your preference, you will not be disappointed with "White Lies for Dark Times".

Blows me away!!!
Saw these guys on Austin city limits and these guys totally rock it!!!
The drummer Jordan Richardson just blows me away, an absolutely incredible performance by everyone. Obviously these guys are all masters of the trade. The lyrics, melodies and Bens voice are hauntingly beautiful. Best new (to me) music I've had the pleasure of hearing in a while. Support these guys, buy this album.
