Awesome
Who Got the Heart is a great collection of material that displays the progression of a true artist. Illus is extremely versatile and gifted and is able to write songs that anyone can relate to and feel. His songs are passionate, skillfully crafted and powerful.
Even when the production quality is at its rawest, Illus displays tremendous skill, and you have to wonder why he never blew up when he was releasing songs like Who Got the Heart back in 1992. Incredible stuff. You can hear his growth in each song as he gets better and better.
I love the song with R.A. the Rugged Man and Chuck D but real stand outs are the Brazilian influenced Por Que, So Right, Rock Rock, Beautiful, Survivor, Who Got the Heart, Meaning My, Skills and Lonely High. All great stuff. 36 songs for $9.99, you can't go wrong.
Feel Good Music is his best work but this stuff is great as well and I can't wait to hear what is next.

Wow. You can really hear the growth that Illus has had over the past nearly 2 decades. He's got the heart, the talent and the diversity of skills that you're bound to find something you like, no love, on this mix tape. Personally I love "Porque" and "Rock Rock." It's mellow and heartfelt. If you want something edgier, try "Rise of the Machines" or "Return to the Jungle."
