When she speaks, you can feel the power of her poetry, and when she sings it straight, her jazzy-sexy voice recalls Billie Holiday. The structure of Who Is Jill Scott? allows all sides of the artist's abilities to emerge, which makes listening to it enlightening and exhilarating.

A "must have".
by La La from DCYou will not skip any songs on this. I keep coming back time after time and it always sets me in just the right mood.
We do have real music
by no mess ma'amI got this album when it first came out and I have loved it ever since. It is real and it will sit as a land mark in the ability for this generation to be able to say they had real music. The other stuff being played on air today have nothing on this. Jill is real music. LOVE NOW OR LATER BUT LOVE IT.....
