Album Review

Wide-Eyed and Mystified is a line in the infectious track "The More," referring to the awe with which we look at God. But it could just as easily denote the reaction of fans who first become familiar with this Canadian-bred Christian band on this third effort and wonder how they lived so long without this masterly crafted melodic rock. Vocalist/guitarist Marc Martel fronts the band with a deeply mature tenor that bears the rare fortune of being compared to Kevin Max. Exhibit A: his soaring chorus on "Remember Me" makes Coldplay's Chris Martin take a backseat. Fellow guitarist Jason Germain takes lead vocals on several ballads that could have been lifted from the band's debut. The theme is uplifting, but you never feel like the guys are talking down to you. There is passion without angst, healing without being dragged through the mud. Can one band truly possess the passion of Casting Crowns, the rock of Sanctus Real, and the melodic wonders of Coldplay-like vocals? Mystifying, indeed.

First Class

I highly recomend this CD! downhere is awesome, and makes us truly wonder in admiration at the majesty and splendor of God. Completely worth it!

VERY VERY GOOD

can't compare it to their other stuff, but compared to what's going on in christian music, this is one of the better albums i've heard. "the more" is an awesome song and great opening song, and "a better place" and "little is much" are also great...the rest of the album is very very good. definitely a must buy by people looking for great music coupled with great lyrics. ps...i can't stop listening to "the more"...

A Better Way

I love you could not be said . . . a better way!! This song truly captures the love God showed by sending His Son for us. And of Jesus sacrificing His life for us - all for the love of mankind. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Downhere for the song!
