Amazing
This is a great album. Its there first too. Many of you may know Greg Pattillo as the beatboxing flute player on youtube. Project is an amazing group of extremely talented musicians. Buy this album, you wont regret it.
Truly Talented Musicians Innovate and Experiment!
The lead player of this group, Greg Pattillo, took two diverse disciplines of musicianship, flute and beatboxing, and combined them together into a new dynamic form that is as distinct as it is fiercely original. I'm still in awe as to how he developed the skills, as each discipline alone is difficult enough for most. What separates this group from the crowd, is that they have mastered their instruments BEFORE coming out with this album. The virtuosity and training is obvious from the first note, depending on nothing but their breathtaking talent to combine different music styles into something altogether new. It's strange, idiosyncratic stuff, but if you're looking for experimental instrumental at its finest, check them out! I loved it. This is what truly original musical artists should be doing.
The whole group is amazing.
Greg Pattillo is a spectacular flautist, but all three make this group what it is. The classical and hip-hop inspired stuff is easily my favourite (Semuta and 'Moon, wow), but keep it up. Better quality recording would be nice, but hey, no complaints, come to Toronto and showcase the talent, guys.
